Cat and Mouse

Written by: Victor Swift

Try to find me I’ll runaway I’ll runaway
Try to charm me every night and day
Try to hold me I’ll runaway I’ll runaway
Try to fold me every singe day

I’m the mouse and you’re the cat, and I won’t make a mistake
You’re a fool if you think that I will easily break
You’re big but I’m small, and in time you will fall
So give up now before you hurt yourself

And now you’ve burned the bridge to commonsense
It’s too intense

Try to find me I’ll runaway I’ll runaway
Try to charm me every night and day
Try to hold me I’ll runaway I’ll runaway
Try to fold me every singe day

I’m the prey and you’re the vulture, and I’m not breathless yet
I laugh in your face because you are not a threat
You’re strong but I’m fast, and I know you won’t last
So bid farewell before you lay your own tomb

And now you’ve burned the bridge to commonsense
It’s too intense

Try to find me I’ll runaway I’ll runaway
Try to charm me every night and day
Try to hold me I’ll runaway I’ll runaway
Try to fold me every singe day

This is a waste of time, a waste of yours and mine
So give up now and we can get on with our lives
This has gone on too long, its time to hit the gong
Because you know it is wrong

Try to find me I’ll runaway I’ll runaway
Try to charm me every night and day
Try to hold me I’ll runaway I’ll runaway
Try to fold me every singe day
